snapshots of europe #4 – venice.

Venice – home of Marco Polo, many lagoons, islands, and couples galore! No but seriously, it’s an awesome city to visit, a slight let down though to be honest, I was expecting so much more after reading so much about it in books, from word of mouth, in movies etc

It was compounded by the fact that I took the overnight train from Munich to get in at 0630 to Santa Lucia train station. I didn’t get much sleep and the two Japanese girls in my cabin kept snoring all night!

All in all, Venice is a city worth visiting, it was super/insane/crazy/mentally busy when i went (during mid july) and boiling hot. Definitely will be going back and checking out some of the smaller islands and the Murano glass factories.
