Stirling, Scotland

Another quick day trip off to a small town called Stirling. Some fascinating history here – dating back to the Stone Age and most well known for battles involving William Wallace (there’s a monument to him on the outskirts of the town). The castle here is not as well known but just as good (if not better) than Edinburgh Castle.

Stirling Station, Scotland

The town is only about 30-45mins from Glasgow depending on if you take an express/normal train, so very easy to get to. It’s very easy to get around by foot from the train station. The Castle is about a 15-20min walk but you may need to catch public transport to get to the Wallace monument.
